Fees and Charges
Remedium Healthcare is a private health service and there may be charges associated with your visit or your medications. The cost to you will be explained during your Welcome Visit however usually the following will apply:
Most patients will not have any out-of-pocket fees relating to home services by Remedium.
If you have private health insurance, the cost of the visit will most likely be covered. Some health funds have a gap fee and you should speak to your health fund to confirm what costs will be incurred.
Depending on your health fund, you may need to pay for your medications. If the medication is on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) then you can find the current fees and patient contributions on the PBS website https://www.pbs.gov.au/pbs/home.
Patients who are opting to self-fund their visit or who are on medications not on the PBS will be provided an individualised quote.
If you are a Clinical Trial participant then your treatment and visit will be covered by the trial site.
The Remedium team will always do our best to ensure you do not pay more than you need to, however there are times when there is uncertainty in our ability to claim for our service from the health fund or for the medication through the PBS (such as if the doctor has not given us a prescription). In this case you may be asked to sign an Informed Financial Consent form. This form will be explained to you if you need to sign one.
The Remedium team will make sure you are fully aware of any out-of-pocket costs to you. Fees and charges are payable prior to the scheduled visit and can be made via our online payment portal, bank transfer or by credit card.
